Meet Steve (Master Technician At Camera Clinic)

 

Steve has over 25 years experience as a camera technician and has repaired, refurbished, and cleaned several hundred cameras and lenses during his career. Steve serviced fighter jets in the U.S. Air Force and then became interested in the fine skills required to maintain and improve the precise operation of cameras.

 

Steve learned his skills from several camera experts working in Canon and Nikon authorized repair centers. He initially worked on a wide variety of cameras, including Hasselblad, Lieca, and Nikon cameras, but soon began an appreciation and specialization in Canon products.

 

Steve learned to work on the entire line of Canon cameras and lenses at Horizon Electronics in California, a Canon authorization repair center and dealer. It was Horizon Electronics that Steve was first introduced to the Canon T90 camera and gained the technical skills and knowledge to clean, repair, and adjust this fine camera to factory specifications.

 

Steve founded the Camera Clinic in Reno, Nevada in 1995. He has gathered the essential test equipment, camera manuals, and spare camera parts to maintain a top level of camera repair, and although he continued to develop his skills to include the automatic EOS cameras and lenses and digital cameras, he has always maintained his special interest for the Canon T90 camera.

 

Steve soon learned to upgrade the T90 with film leader out modifications, external X-sync plug modification, and mirror lock up modification making the T90 an even more versatile, professional machine. Such modifications make the T90 an unparalleled, manual focus film capture camera, capable of a wide range of specialized photography.
